Did You Know that Most Avocado Oil is Tainted?

Hark! Most avocado oil is either adulterated or rancid as this UC Davis study discovered. Buy only Chosen Foods or Marianne’s (available at Costco in plastic). All avocado oil should be stored in dark glass, so if you buy Marianne’s, then store it in dark-colored glass. Avocado oil is the best for cooking, as it has a high smoke point of 520 degrees. Remember to eat olive oil in its raw, unheated state. Most reliable: olive oils from California or Greece.
